Is the bank statement converter free?

Yes. You can convert one statement a day without an account. Each statement can be up to 5 pages and 10 MB, which covers a typical monthly statement.

What does the Excel or CSV file contain?

One row per transaction with four columns: date (YYYY-MM-DD), description, amount, and category. Money out is negative and money in is positive. The category is a CRA T2125 line if you pick CAD, or an IRS Schedule C line if you pick USD.

Which bank statements does it read?

PDF statements from bank accounts and credit cards, plus JPG or PNG photos of a statement. AI reads the page, so it handles layouts that a fixed template would miss, including Canadian formats such as credits marked "CR". Check the preview against your statement before you use the file.

Is my bank statement stored?

No. The file is read in memory, sent to our AI provider to extract the transactions, and not saved by BookZero. Nothing is added to an account.

My statement is longer than 5 pages. What can I do?
